Amazing meal at Levantine, which has some of the most fresh and flavorsome Middle-Eastern menu items. Because most their recipes and ingredients are made fresh, in-house, every day. Good food, specially the grill items such as lamb tenderloin, and their falafel is the best, crispiest one we have had in these parts. Great service as well, the family that runs it goes above and beyond in making the meal a wonderful experience.
A small family-run business serving absolutely hands-down the most delicious Mediterranean/Syrian dishes. The parents mostly work back of house doing prep work and the three fantastic daughters running the front. We had the opportunity to try many of their popular items which includes: Half mix grill Mixed appetizers Chicken Shawarma Poutine Mixed cheese Manakeesh Zaatar Manakeesh Shawarma Manakeesh Foul Modammas Fattouch salad Honestly, I was not able to decide which dish I liked best but the Chicken Shawarma Manakeesh was up there! Their garlic sauce and chili sauce truly hits differently. We also really love their char-grilled skewers and zaatar manakeesh! Such a unique flavour! You can help yourself to a delicious tea and they gave us a falafel while we waited for our food. The falafel was the best I've had - Syrian style with a hole in the middle for even frying and added sesame for a wonderful flavour! The service is also absolutely spot on - always making sure we were taking care of. It felt like we walked into our friend's place with the family cooking us an authentic Mediterranean meal. We will be back!
Levantine Mediterranean & Grill is truly a hidden gem in Oakville! When we first walked in, the setting felt casual, but the food completely exceeded our expectations in both taste and portion size. We visited around 7 PM, just an hour before closing, and were warmly welcomed by Brenda, who was absolutely amazing. She took the time to help us get exactly what we wanted, making the experience even better. The Chicken Shawarma and Falafel Bowl were both incredible, packed with authentic flavors. A must-try is their house-made hot sauce—it adds the perfect kick! Plus, they offer complimentary black tea, which was a nice touch. Overall, a fantastic experience—delicious food, great service, and generous portions. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!
I came here unexpectedly after a different nearby restaurant had to close early, and I'm SO glad I came here instead. Levantine was excellent. Located in the very corner of the plaza, when I came in, the girl working here was very friendly and attentive, the inside was very clean, and most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS. I got the chicken shawarma platter with half rice/half fries and seen in the picture. All the ingredients were very fresh, the chicken nicely grilled and flavourful, and the fries were perfectly crispy as well. I highly recommend trying them out, I can't wait to try the other menu items!
Quite possibly the best Mediterranean restaurant my family and I have tried! A fan favourite for our family is the Chicken Shawarma wrap. Levantine is the only restaurant that we have found uses extremely fresh vegetables, and meat. You can taste the difference based on the fact it tastes freshly made. To top it off, the wrap even when ordered through delivery consistently stays crispy, and toasted, and when we add the option for fries in the shawarma wrap, they stay crispy and crunchy. Everything is wrapped very well in multiple wrappings and bags so cleanup after is easy! Will continue to order and hope to try the other menu options!
Food was excellent! Prices were average as per Mediterranean restaurants. It is a small place but they have a large outdoor seating area. The service is excellent! They checked on us if the food was good or if we needed anything twice. They even brought us 4 lovely glasses of tea- free!! It is a nice seat yourself kind of restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. This is a must stop in to! The food is wonderful, service is excellent and location is great!
I absolutely do not like hummus - except for the one here. It's so good! And their falafel is the best I've ever tasted. I'm not sure what they season their rice with but it's a game changer. The staff are incredibly polite and twice now I've been offered a free falafel to try before I've even ordered. I was also offered complimentary tea. It's not just the food that brings me back, it's the exceptional service.
